SETTING THE STANDARD IN WOMEN’S TRAVEL SAFETY
We are developing global safety standards that help women travel with confidence, clarity, and peace of mind.
We are developing global safety standards that help women travel with confidence, clarity, and peace of mind.

WTSSA standards are shaped by real women. Solo travelers, mothers, self-defense specialists, and safety educators.
Every guideline is designed to reflect the real-world challenges women face while traveling.

Female police officers, self-defense instructors, travel risk experts, and cultural specialists shaped every pillar of the WTSSA Safety Framework.

Our mission is to help women travel with confidence, not anxiety.
WTSSA standards focus on clarity, preparedness, and practical tools that support safe, empowering travel.

A 6-pillar system designed with the Women’s Travel Safety Standard Committee to promote safe, confident, and empowered travel worldwide.

Guidance on lighting, foot-traffic levels, surroundings, busy vs. isolated areas, and environmental risk awareness.

Standards for safe walking routes, transport choices, rideshares, taxis, night vs. day travel, and avoiding dangerous paths.

Practical skills: situational awareness, precaution checklists, emergency readiness, and proactive prevention habits.

Country-specific etiquette, norms, safety expectations, and awareness around common scams or high-risk social dynamics.

Guidelines for secure online communication, map-sharing, safety check-ins, device security, and emergency messaging.

Clear steps for responding to fear, danger, harassment, or emergencies including grounding techniques and safe-place identification.

A 6-pillar safety system designed by the Women’s Travel Safety Standards Advisory Committee, combining expert risk insights, cultural navigation guidance, and real-world travel experiences from women worldwide.
Every pillar works together to promote safer, more confident, and more informed travel.
